The Lorax- OxN - Long Night

As the result of the success of his invention the Thneed, a young man named The Once-ler was working another late night shift in the factory that he held build. He sat there at his desk, shorting through piles of Thneed orders and legal documents. It was about 4:00am before he finished up and closed office and return to the side of his beautiful pregnant wife Norma in bed. He didn't dare wake her, so he softly removed his shoes and jacket and slid into the bed. As he laid there, he looked over at her and noticed she didn't seem to be doing sound tonight. Maybe the result of the baby, being that this was the eighth month of her first pregnancy. Knowing that Norma was not one to complain, he gently put one hand on her shoulder and asked

"You all right honey?". Norma replied with a sore chuckle

"Not really, this baby has been kicking me all night and I think my spine feel like it's about to shatter".

"Maybe this might help, I read it in a book"

He responded while he took Norma's hand and slid behind her back to comfort her, as he put one hand on her stomach and remain to hold her hand. He started to sing a soothing lullaby to Norma and the baby. After just a few moments, the baby stopped kicking, turned over and went to sleep.

"It worked" she whispered.

"Now it's time for somebody else to go to sleep"

He grin as he continued to sing till Norma fell asleep .
